Aging Up

Our Story

Aging Up was founded by dedicated professionals with backgrounds in child welfare and mentoring. Recognizing the unmet needs of youth with foster care experience, they united their passions and expertise to create a unique service model. Established in 2016 and granted 501(c)(3) status in 2017, Aging Up began recruiting mentors in the fall of 2017, launching its first Mentoring Matches in 2018.

Our Impact

Research shows that mentored youth experience significant improvements in behavioral, social, emotional, and academic areas. By placing mentoring at the core of its services, Aging Up aims to combat the challenging outcomes faced by former foster youth.
