Our Story

Founded in 1981, Aggieland Humane Society, originally known as Brazos Animal Shelter, has been a beacon of hope for homeless and abandoned animals in the Brazos County area. With a commitment to animal welfare, the organization opened its doors at its current location on Leonard Road in 2011, continuing its mission to provide safe haven for stray animals from College Station and surrounding areas. In 2012, the name change to Aggieland Humane Society reflected the spirit of the community it serves.
