Our Story

Founded in 1984 by a diverse group of community advocates, Agenda for Children has become Louisiana's leading child advocacy organization. With a focus on child care issues, juvenile justice reform, and early childhood education, the organization has a rich legacy of impactful advocacy and policy work aimed at improving the lives of children across the state.

Impact

Through its ECHO Fund, Agenda for Children has provided nearly $2 million in sub-grants to learning centers and nonprofits, supporting quality improvements and innovative projects. Additionally, over $700,000 has been raised to provide Hurricane Ida recovery grants to early care and education providers.
