Founded in 1868 for Civil War widows, the Aged Woman’s Home of Georgetown continues to serve women in Washington, DC today. This historic residence offers a nurturing environment for indigent women capable of independent living, providing emotional support, companionship, and security.

Our Impact

The Aged Woman’s Home of Georgetown aims to provide permanent stable housing to senior independent women facing homelessness in the DC Metro Area. Currently, the Home is at full capacity with 11 residents, dedicated to continuing its mission for another 150 years.
