Age-Friendly Forsyth

Our Story

Age-Friendly Forsyth is a collaborative initiative that brings together health care providers, nonprofits, corporate partners, educational institutions, and community members. Launched in 2016, this initiative arose from the recognition by local leaders of the pressing need to prioritize the aging population in Forsyth County. Through extensive research, including a survey of over 1,000 residents aged 60 and older, the initiative has developed the 2020-2025 Forsyth County Action Plan for Aging Adults, ensuring that the voices of seniors are heard and their needs addressed.
