Our Story

Founded in 1980 by a group of visionary general contractors, the AGC of Washington Education Foundation was established to enhance education and training within the construction industry. Recognizing the importance of ongoing education, the foundation has expanded its reach across Washington State, offering classes and workshops in Bellingham, Olympia, Tacoma, and Yakima. The original trustees, including industry leaders like Don Bocek and Louis Rowley, laid the groundwork for a foundation that now serves thousands of construction professionals, students, and teachers through diverse educational and outreach programs.

Over the years, the AGC Education Foundation has provided financial assistance to more than 600 university students, helping them achieve their educational goals through scholarships and various outreach initiatives.
