Afya Foundation was founded by Danielle Butin after witnessing the dire need for medical supplies in Tanzania. Established in 2007, the organization collects unused medical supplies from U.S. healthcare providers and delivers them to underserved communities across the globe.

With over $49.5 million worth of medical and humanitarian supplies delivered, Afya has helped millions access healthcare and saved countless lives. The foundation has also diverted over 16 million pounds of waste from landfills, promoting environmental sustainability.
