After School Activities Partnerships
EIN: 26-3639206 · Philadelphia, PA
Our Story
Founded in 2002 by educator Marciene Mattleman, After School Activities Partnerships (ASAP) was established to address the critical issue of unsupervised youth in Philadelphia. With reports indicating that up to 40,000 children were left without supervision daily from 3-6 pm, ASAP launched a public service campaign to engage schools and communities in keeping children safe and active after school.
Our Impact
Through flagship initiatives like ASAP Chess, ASAP Debate, ASAP Drama, and ASAP Scrabble, ASAP engages 5,000 children in grades K-12 each year, fostering their growth both academically and socially. Since its inception, ASAP has positively impacted over 100,000 youth.
