Our Story

African Sky was founded in 2004 by Scott M. Lacy, inspired by a growing network of friends and family eager to support small projects in Mali. Initially focused on building schools, the organization has evolved to address community health, food security, and the arts. In 2024, African Sky embraced transformative changes, enabling local partners in Mali to lead projects with remote support from the U.S. team. The expansion into Cameroon, driven by local volunteers, further enhances the impact.
