Transforming Lives Through Discipleship
African Christian Outreach, founded by Allen and Alice Stickney, has dedicated over 40 years to empowering young people in Kenya and across East Africa. With a mission rooted in Engaging, Equipping, and Empowering the next generation, ACO has become a beacon of hope and transformation in the lives of countless youth.
After Allen Stickney's passing in 2008, the ACO Board of Directors embraced the responsibility of guiding the ministry forward. Recognizing the need for new leadership, they entrusted the future of ACO to Allen’s son, Tom Stickney, and his wife, Kerry. Their commitment to the "power of presence" and their passion for discipleship have been instrumental in expanding ACO's reach to 10 countries through various ministries.
In 2017, ACO launched Kuza, a digital discipleship platform designed to engage the youth of East Africa with relevant resources. This innovative approach has allowed ACO to connect with a growing population of young individuals eager for guidance and support in their faith journeys.
Today, ACO continues to thrive under the leadership of the Stickney and Elmore families, who are dedicated to empowering local staff and fostering partnerships that will shape the future of East Africa. With a median age of just 19, the continent is poised for significant change, and ACO is committed to being at the forefront of this transformation.
