Our Story

The African American Youth Leadership Conference (AAYLC) was founded on January 16, 1993, in Colorado Springs. Initially focused on young African American males in grades 6-12, AAYLC has since expanded to include young females and has hosted over 19,000 students of all ethnicities.

Impact

AAYLC has provided educational development and community engagement, awarding over $250,000 in scholarships and positively impacting the lives of students in the Pike Peak Region and beyond.
