Our Story

Afghan Health Initiative is dedicated to addressing the social determinants of health for immigrant and refugee communities, particularly Afghan and Iraqi individuals resettled in the United States. Led by public health professionals and community leaders with lived experience, AHI strives to maximize the potential of these communities.

Since FY 2014, over 96,000 Afghan and Iraqi immigrants have arrived in the U.S. AHI ensures that every voice is heard, providing essential support to help them rebuild their lives.
