Our Story

Founded in 1987, the Affordable Community Residence Association Inc. (ACRA) was established by six compassionate individuals dedicated to providing housing for those in their final weeks and days battling AIDS. Over the years, ACRA has evolved, now serving hundreds of clients across North Carolina and the Southeast, adapting to the changing needs of individuals with HIV and disabilities.
