Our Story

Affirming Youth Ministries was founded in early 2020 by a dedicated group of youth ministry professionals and volunteers in Seattle. Confronted with the damaging effects of non-affirming churches, they sought to create a safe and welcoming environment for young people to explore their faith. Despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, the ministry quickly transitioned to an online format, reaching youth across the globe through platforms like Instagram and TikTok. Within weeks, requests poured in from young individuals seeking an affirming space, leading to the establishment of a vibrant online community.

Our Impact

Currently, Affirming Youth Ministries connects with over 700 students worldwide through two online youth groups, a weekly Bible study, and an active Discord server. The organization also hosts a podcast led by youth, providing a platform for their voices and experiences. This commitment ensures that young people have access to supportive and affirming spaces, fostering their spiritual growth and well-being.
