Our Story
Advocates for Women’s and Kids’ Equality (AWAKE) is a grassroots nonprofit organization founded in 2013 in Nashville, Tennessee. AWAKE is dedicated to advocating for the advancement of women and young people by disrupting systems that reinforce gender inequality through education initiatives and policy change.
Our Impact
AWAKE has led community trainings on advocacy, served hundreds of youth and survivors with its educational curriculum, and successfully guided ten bills to passage that address health disparities and gender-based violence.
