About SciHigh
Founded in 1993, the New Orleans Center for Science & Math, known as SciHigh, began as a half-day program within the Orleans Parish School System. After Hurricane Katrina in 2005, it transformed into The New Orleans Charter Science & Mathematics High School, moving to its current facility in 2021. SciHigh is dedicated to preparing students for college and careers in STEM fields.
Impact of SciHigh
In 2022, SciHigh graduates achieved a remarkable 100% college acceptance rate, earning credentials in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics that lead to higher wages. Each summer, students can qualify for paid internships in STEM careers, gaining invaluable hands-on experience.
