Advocates for Children of Rural Nevada (ACORN) serves as a guardian ad litem for children in Nye and Esmeralda Counties, providing a voice for those in foster care who lack representation in court. This organization is dedicated to advocating for the rights and needs of vulnerable children, ensuring they have a say in their future.

In 2024, ACORN raised over $20,000 at the Luau event, demonstrating the community's commitment to foster youth advocacy. The organization has successfully trained new advocates to represent children in court, addressing the critical need for representation among children in foster care.
