Our Story

Advocates for Basic Legal Equality (ABLE) was founded to address injustices faced by communities of color and individuals living in poverty. For over 50 years, ABLE has been a beacon of hope for those who have nowhere else to turn.

In our service area, 14 out of every 100 people live in poverty, and over 70% face civil legal issues annually. ABLE provides essential legal support to navigate these complex systems.
