The Advocacy Center for the Children of El Paso was established in December 1996 by a dedicated group of community leaders to address the urgent needs of children suffering from severe physical and sexual abuse. This center offers a safe, child-friendly environment where young victims can receive essential services without the trauma of repeated recounting.

As the first stop for children in El Paso County suspected of severe abuse, the Advocacy Center provides crucial services such as crisis counseling, therapy, and advocacy—all at no charge. Last year alone, over 4,300 cases of abuse and neglect were referred for investigation, underscoring the center's vital role in supporting child victims.
