Our Story

The inspiration for Adventure Bags Inc came from a heartfelt experience shared by Debbie Gori, whose daughter, a social worker for Georgia’s Division of Family and Children Services, encountered children arriving in the system with nothing but black trash bags for their belongings. This moment sparked a mission to provide these vulnerable children with backpacks filled with essential items and comfort. Since our first fundraiser in October 2011, Adventure Bags has grown to serve countless children across Georgia, receiving 501(c)(3) status in 2012.
