Our Story

Adopt a South African Preschool (ASAP) was founded by Nancy Schongalla after her transformative visit to the Likhwezi Preschool in Langa Township, South Africa, in 2018. Witnessing the stark contrast between the quality of care and the surrounding poverty, Nancy partnered with local educators to provide essential resources and support. ASAP has grown from one preschool to 181 daycares, impacting the lives of 8,758 children and 991 women by enhancing early childhood education.

Impact

As of July 2024, ASAP has established 8 Educational Toy Library Training Centers, trained 1,075 women in preschool education, and supported 9,591 children in learning through play, setting them up for success in school.
