Our Story

Co-Founders Tamara Howard and Angela Wollschlager began their careers in human services, driven by a passion to create real change. Their experiences revealed the barriers and broken systems that hinder progress. Recognizing the need to ADAPTT to the evolving needs of the community, they partnered with a dedicated board of women with lived experience and professionals in Human and Social Services. Together, they developed a revolutionary model of transitional living, focused on empowering homeless and at-risk women and children.

Adaptt Rochester, Inc. is committed to reducing cyclical poverty, drug relapse, and homelessness in the Greater Rochester area. By fostering an equitable and sustainable environment, the organization helps women and children empower themselves, discover their passions, and find their purpose.
