About the Adams County Historical Society

The Adams County Historical Society, established in 1972, is dedicated to preserving the rich history of Adams County. The Adams County Museum, which opened in 1987, has transformed from a single building into a vibrant complex featuring a variety of historical exhibits. Visitors can explore a replica one-room schoolhouse, a 1930s Conoco station, a working blacksmith shop, and much more. The museum also boasts a beautiful Japanese garden and several unique sculptures, making it a cultural hub for the community.
