Founded in 1919 by Ada Sophia McKinley, Ada S. McKinley Community Services, Inc. has a rich history of supporting the Black community in Chicago. Originally established as a settlement house for Black veterans returning from World War I, the organization has evolved to provide a wide range of human services to over 10,000 individuals annually. With more than 70 program locations across Chicago and additional sites in Illinois, Wisconsin, and Indiana, the agency focuses on Child Development & Youth, Employment & Community Support, and Behavioral Health & Clinical services.
