Our Story

Active Boys in Christ is a nonprofit organization founded by Derrick Watkins in 2017, dedicated to exposing the youth of the Flint Community to career opportunities in skilled trades. Growing up in Flint and Beecher, Derrick recognized the lack of resources and opportunities available to local youth compared to other areas. He believes that college is not the only path to success and that every child deserves access to career options that can lead to a fulfilling life.
