Our Story

Founded in September 1986 by a dedicated group of 84 volunteers in Center City Philadelphia, Action Wellness emerged from a community of care aimed at supporting individuals affected by AIDS. Initially known as ActionAIDS, the organization has evolved to ensure that no one faces their illness alone. In June 2016, ActionAIDS rebranded to Action Wellness, broadening its mission to serve a wider range of clients and focusing on building meaningful relationships with individuals and families.

Our Impact

Action Wellness serves over 4,000 clients annually, offering personalized care programs that include medical case management, housing assistance, and support for chronic illnesses. This commitment ensures that no one faces their health challenges alone.
