About Action for Children

Action for Children has been a cornerstone of support for parents, guardians, teachers, and child care providers in Central Ohio for over 50 years. Founded in 1972, the organization was created to meet the increasing demand for quality child care as more women joined the workforce. Originally named Community Coordinated Child Care, it was renamed Action for Children in 1979. Today, it offers a comprehensive range of services aimed at enhancing the quality of child care and early learning experiences for children in the region.

Impact of Action for Children

In the last fiscal year, Action for Children reached over 500,000 individuals, conducted workshops for 10,000 participants, and provided training to 250,000 early childhood professionals. This outreach has positively impacted three generations of children in Central Ohio.
