Founded in 1980 by Davis High School English teacher Dave Burmester and a group of enthusiastic teenagers, Acme Theatre Company began with a simple production titled Bare Stage/Blue Jeans. Over the years, it has grown into a vibrant community hub, known for its annual 'Free Comedy in the Park' and summer drama classes for youth. Under the leadership of Artistic Director Emily Henderson since 2008, Acme continues to inspire creativity and collaboration among young performers.
