Achungo Community Center

Our Story

The Achungo Children’s Centre was founded by Michael O. Nyangi, who, after experiencing poverty and losing his father at a young age, dedicated his life to helping orphans. Starting with a few children in his home, ACC has grown into a vital community-based organization since its registration in 2005, providing education, care, food, clothing, and medical assistance to vulnerable children in rural southwest Kenya.

Impact

ACC supports over 1,000 orphans and destitute children, operating two primary schools and a junior secondary school. The organization is recognized as one of the best schools in the county, focusing on self-sufficiency through agricultural projects and community support.
