Our Story

Established in 1987, the Achieve Foundation of South Orange and Maplewood was created by community members dedicated to maintaining excellent public schools amidst rising costs and declining state funding. In 2010, the foundation adopted the name Achieve to unify its mission and programs, focusing on high-quality education for all students.

Impact

Since 1999, the Achieve Foundation has raised over $4,500,000, funding educational initiatives that enhance student experiences and address the opportunity gap for vulnerable students. By supporting innovative ideas from educators and providing free academic help, the foundation significantly contributes to the academic success of children in the district.
