ACES Coalition of WV

Our Story

The ACEs Coalition of West Virginia was born from a collaboration between a physician, a licensed professional counselor, a child advocate, and a funder. Together, they envisioned a movement to address Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) in West Virginia. By fostering a statewide grassroots coalition, they aimed to educate and empower communities. Today, with over 4,000 members, the Coalition operates as a standalone 501c3 nonprofit, guided by a diverse board of directors and dedicated task teams focused on awareness, training, legislative advocacy, and research.

Our Impact

The ACEs Coalition of West Virginia is committed to enhancing the health and well-being of all West Virginians. By focusing on understanding, overcoming, and preventing ACEs, the Coalition also promotes Positive Childhood Experiences (PCEs) that foster resilience and offset negative experiences.
