Career Preparation In Business Fields

Our Story

Founded in 1980 by three Seattle accountants, the Accounting Career Awareness Program (ACAP) was established to combat the lack of diversity in the accounting profession. By targeting high school students of color, ACAP provides invaluable exposure to the accounting field through a free one-week residency on a college campus. Participants engage in mentorship and personal development, paving the way for future careers in business and accounting.

Impact

Since its inception, ACAP has educated, trained, and inspired over 1500 students of color, significantly increasing their awareness and interest in accounting and business careers.
