Empowering Individuals with Disabilities
Founded in 1984 by a dedicated group of parents, Access of the Red River Valley emerged from a grassroots initiative aimed at keeping children with disabilities out of institutional care. This mission has evolved over the years, focusing on providing home and community-based services that promote independence and quality of life for individuals with disabilities.
Our Story
Access of the Red River Valley is committed to ensuring that every person served can enjoy daily interactions with community members, make informed choices, and plan for a successful future. With a team of trained staff, clients receive the support they need to thrive in their own homes, enhancing their daily living skills and fostering independence.
Throughout the 1990s, Access expanded its services to include younger children with developmental and behavioral disabilities, responding to the needs of families, daycares, and schools. The focus on quality care and the strengths of both the child and their family has been a cornerstone of Access’s approach.
