Founded in 2013 by Karisma Jay, AbunDance Academy of the Arts is the first Black-Owned Non-Profit Arts Organization to produce an original production, 'Annie, AbunDantly' at KINGS Theatre. With a rich history of community engagement and international arts exchanges, the Academy has adapted to challenges, including offering virtual classes during the pandemic.
AbunDance Academy has successfully hosted over 700 virtual and in-person classes, raised $15,000 for arts programming, and provided a safe space for community support during the COVID-19 pandemic. The organization celebrates diverse cultures through original works and international collaborations.
