Our Story

It all began with a suitcase and a dream. The Arizona Broadway Theatre was founded by Kiel and Cassandra Klaphake, two classically trained performers who envisioned a unique dinner theatre experience reminiscent of the classic supper clubs. After extensive research and community engagement, they chose Phoenix’s Northwest Valley as the ideal location. In February 2005, the Arizona Broadway Theatre opened its doors, quickly becoming a cultural hub in the Southwest.

Impact

More than 85,000 individuals have benefitted from ABT’s educational programming and musical productions, with numbers continuing to rise as the organization innovates and collaborates with community partners.
