Founded in 1988 by four CalArts graduates, About Productions has dedicated over 30 years to amplifying unique and untold stories through innovative theatrical productions. The organization focuses on re-envisioning the histories of Latino, Native American, youth, senior, and gender-based communities, fostering a deeper understanding of cultural perspectives.
Impact of Our Work
Through original interdisciplinary theaterworks and educational programs, About Productions provokes new perspectives on history, humanity, and culture. The Young Theaterworks program, in particular, has been instrumental in serving high-risk youth in Los Angeles, creating a safe space for artistic expression and personal growth.
