Our Story

AbleVoices was founded by Jen Vogus, an educator, photographer, and parent-advocate for her son Aidan, who has a disability. When Aidan began elementary school, he struggled to communicate with his teachers and peers. To bridge this gap, Jen started capturing and sharing photographs of Aidan’s interests and experiences. This initiative opened up Aidan’s world, allowing him to form meaningful relationships. Inspired by this journey, Jen established AbleVoices to empower others with disabilities through the art of photography.

Our Impact

AbleVoices amplifies the voices of youth and adults with disabilities through photography, fostering more inclusive communities and providing opportunities for self-expression and advocacy.
