Empowering Youth in Pilsen

ABC Pilsen began with a father's dream to help his children develop their basketball skills. Today, this initiative has blossomed into a vibrant program serving over 100 children from Pilsen and surrounding communities on the West Side of Chicago. Pilsen is a neighborhood rich in Latino culture, art, and community spirit, yet it faces significant challenges, including poverty and gang violence. With over one-third of families living below the poverty line and two-thirds of students dropping out of school, the need for positive youth engagement is critical.

Making a Positive Impact

For the past seven years, ABC Pilsen has been a beacon of hope, teaching teamwork, confidence, and leadership skills through basketball. This program not only provides a safe space for children to play but also helps them stay focused and motivated. By building skills from any level to competitive play, ABC Pilsen organizes tournaments where kids can showcase their hard work and dedication.
