Our Story
Founded in 2002 by parents of an autistic child, ABC of NC began as a pioneer in autism services, offering center-based, one-on-one instruction, small group classes, and parent education. As the first comprehensive autism service provider in the community, ABC of NC has continually evolved to meet the needs of families. In 2011, the organization earned accreditation from Cognia®, and in 2013, it expanded its mission to include mental health services for clients with co-occurring conditions. The move to a new campus in 2015 facilitated the construction of the SECU Autism Clinic and the Burress Activity Center, enhancing the support available to families.
