Founded in 1956, AABR has dedicated itself to supporting individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. What began as a grassroots initiative in Queens, New York, has evolved into a trusted organization known for its compassion and commitment to inclusivity. Over the decades, AABR has expanded its services, opening residential facilities and day programs to meet the growing needs of individuals with disabilities.
Our Impact

With 21 group residences and two educational day programs, AABR serves thousands of individuals, helping them develop new skills and reach their full potential. The recent launch of the Program Without Walls (WoW) initiative further enhances community engagement and personal growth opportunities.
