A Vision of Change was founded in 1993 by Ms. Delores Collins, inspired by her own experiences with her children's trauma due to their father's incarceration. The organization is dedicated to breaking the cycles of illiteracy, poor health, teen dropout, youth imprisonment, and poverty. By providing academic empowerment, intervention, and prevention services, A Vision of Change embraces children and families, empowering them to move forward and succeed.
Over 3,000 traumatized children have benefited from A Vision of Change's services, particularly those with incarcerated parents, addressing the long-term negative effects of parental incarceration on child development.
