Our Story

A Positive Attitude Outlook, Inc. was founded in Sacramento, California, in 1988 by Regana McKinney-McGee. Initially established to create group homes for children facing psychological, social, and academic challenges, APAO has since expanded its mission. By 1990, the organization opened its first foster family agency, serving over 120 children in just two years. With additional offices now in Fresno, Bakersfield, and Rancho Cucamonga, APAO is dedicated to providing a full range of foster care services, focusing on finding stable, loving families for neglected and abused children.
