Our Story

A Place for Jazz was founded in 1987 by Butch Conn, dedicated to presenting the best in jazz music. This volunteer-driven, community-based nonprofit organization hosts an annual series of concerts, educational workshops, and scholarships for college-level jazz students, enriching the cultural landscape of New York's Capital District and beyond.
