In late 2014, Charlotta (Lotta) Sjoelin witnessed the dire conditions in a local women's shelter, igniting her passion to create a nonprofit dedicated to transforming these spaces. With her expertise as an interior designer, she launched the 'Donate A Room' campaign, collaborating with local organizations and retailers to renovate shelters. By 2020, A Lotta Love, Inc. became an independent 501c3 nonprofit, expanding its reach across multiple cities in Central North Carolina.
