A Hand Up Erie

Our Story

A Hand Up Erie was founded in 2016 with a mission to provide essential household items to community members in need. Since then, AHU has successfully supported over 4,500 families in Erie County, delivering more than 55,000 donated items. This entirely volunteer-driven organization serves a diverse clientele, including women fleeing domestic violence, individuals recovering from addiction, veterans, and people with disabilities.

Impact

AHU has made a significant impact in Erie County by delivering necessary household items to an average of ten to twelve families each week. This ongoing effort has transformed the lives of many underserved individuals, ensuring they have the essentials they need to thrive.
