A Chance In Life

Our Story

A Chance In Life was founded in 1945 by Monsignor John Patrick Carroll-Abbing to care for orphans and vulnerable children in post-World War II Italy. Today, the organization has expanded its mission to support at-risk youth from over 20 countries, including initiatives for Ukrainian refugees. By emphasizing a Positive Youth Development approach, A Chance In Life empowers young people to become leaders in their communities.

Impact

In 2024, A Chance In Life has supported over 8,844 direct beneficiaries, partnering with 37 local organizations across 12 countries to provide essential education, nutrition, healthcare, and leadership training.
