Our Story

The Carousel for Missoula was initiated by cabinet-maker Chuck Kaparich in 1991, who envisioned a carousel that would become a cherished community treasure. With over 100,000 volunteer hours dedicated to its construction, the carousel opened on May 27, 1995, featuring 38 beautifully crafted ponies and the largest band organ in continuous use in the U.S.
