A Better Way of Living

Our Story

A Better Way of Living, Inc. was founded in 2001 to support developmentally disabled adults in achieving fuller lives. Starting with just two individuals and four employees, ABWL has expanded significantly, incorporating in 2002 and establishing a Board of Volunteer Directors. By 2003, the organization moved to a dedicated office and began offering a variety of support services. Today, ABWL employs 141 dedicated staff members and serves 112 individuals, providing seven direct support services and various training programs.

Impact

Since its inception, ABWL has positively impacted the Greater Albuquerque Community, helping individuals with developmental disabilities realize their potential in work, education, leisure, and relationships.
