In 2013, the 88Bikes Foundation changed the life of Elma, a 16-year-old girl from the Roma communities near Belgrade, Serbia. After defying societal norms to marry her boyfriend, Elma received a bicycle from the foundation, which she transformed into a thriving bike rental business. This initiative not only supported her family but also inspired countless others. The foundation focuses on providing bicycles to girls, especially survivors of human trafficking, to restore their self-worth and open doors to education and entrepreneurship.

Since 2007, over 10,000 bikes have been endowed to heroic women and girls across 21 countries, emphasizing the importance of joy in philanthropy.
