Our Story

846S Organization stands as a powerful tribute to the eight minutes and forty-six seconds that George Floyd was denied his human right to breathe. This organization is dedicated to celebrating his legacy by ensuring that breathing is a vital part of the mental health healing journey. By working closely with Black, marginalized, and underserved communities, 846S creates a safe and nurturing environment to dismantle the stigma surrounding mental health therapy and connect individuals with culturally competent therapists.

Our Impact

Leading a capital campaign to establish a Youth Mental Health and Wellness Community Center in South Minneapolis, 846S Organization aims to provide essential services to youth and families affected by historical trauma and social injustice. This center will address pressing youth mental health concerns and develop innovative programs that prioritize minority youth hiring and offer free community mental health programming.
